Employees
who provided care for an aging parent or spouse have
access to the assistance they need to stay on the job and productive by connecting to a network of area businesses
and organizations specializing in senior care.
Quad
City Elder Care Network is designed to help the estimated
one in five area employees who have elder care
responsibilities that could take them away from the job
and employers who may lose thousands of dollars per year
in lost productivity. Of the one in five employees
that have elder care responsibilities 40 percent say these duties
equal the amount to the same time spent at another full
time job. In fact, more than 14 million U.S. workers
are estimated to be caring for older family members right
now.
Employers can now give their employees access to local resources to help
deal with a variety of issues they face when caring for an
elderly family member.
